Cookie Policy

The cookies and local storage Pasabay uses, why, and how to control them.

Last revised 8 September 2026

What this covers

Cookies are small files a website stores on your device; similar technologies like your browser's local storage work the same way, and the app uses storage on your device too. Together they let Pasabay remember information between pages and visits — for example that you're signed in. This policy explains what we use, why, how long it lasts, and how to clear it. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which covers personal data more broadly.

Why we use them

We use cookies and storage to keep you signed in and your session secure, to protect against fraud and abuse, and to remember what you were doing as you move between pages. We use as few as possible: we don't use them for analytics or advertising, and we don't track you across other apps or websites.

Essential — always on

These are strictly necessary to run Pasabay and can't be switched off. Because they're required to provide the service you asked for, they don't need consent:

  • Authentication — keeping you signed in and moving securely between pages.
  • Security — protecting your session and guarding against fraud and abuse.
  • Continuity — holding on to what you were doing, such as a listing you've started writing, so a page change doesn't lose it.

Non-essential — we don't use any

Pasabay sets no analytics, advertising, or other non-essential cookies or storage, on the website or in the app. There is nothing here for you to switch off, and nothing we need your consent for.

If that ever changes we'll ask you first, and declining won't limit your access to any part of Pasabay.

Cookies from our providers

Some cookies or storage are set by the vetted providers that help us run Pasabay — for example authentication and secure hosting, and push or email delivery. They act on our instructions under contract to operate the Service, not to build advertising profiles. We do not permit third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and no third party sets anything on Pasabay for its own purposes. If you sign in with Facebook, Apple, or Google, that provider sets its own cookies on its own site when you're sent there to sign in; that's covered by their policies, not this one.

How long they last

Some cookies are session cookies that disappear when you close your browser or the app; others are persistent and remain for a limited period so you don't have to sign in again every visit. You can clear any of them at any time — see below.

Managing your choices

On the web you can clear or block cookies and site storage at any time through your browser settings. In the app you can clear storage from your device settings or by signing out. Because everything we set is strictly necessary, there's nothing to opt out of — but blocking it may stop parts of Pasabay from working, including staying signed in. If we ever introduce non-essential cookies, we'll ask for your consent before setting any, and add a way to change your answer here.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the Service evolves, and the revised date shown with this document is the current version. Questions about cookies or your data? Email privacy@pasabay.eu.
